PENGARUH STRUKTURASI INTERNAL DAN AGENSI PT PEGADAIAN TERHADAP PROKRASTINASI AKADEMIK MAHASISWA AKHIR PROGRAM MAGENTA

The phenomenon of academic procrastination frequently occurs among
final-year students, particularly those participating in internship programs. In this
context, students are faced with the dilemma of managing both academic and
professional responsibilities simultaneously.
This study aims to examine the influence of internal structuration and
agency on the academic procrastination behavior of students participating in the
Magenta Internship Program at PT Pegadaian. These variables are analyzed using
Anthony Giddens’ Structuration Theory and the Theory of Reasoned Action by
Fishbein & Ajzen.
A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method, with a total
of 97 students selected through purposive random sampling. The results show that
internal structuration and agency have a significant influence on academic
procrastination behavior, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of
determination indicates a contribution of 69.3% to the dependent variable.
It can be concluded that structural and agential factors play an important
role in encouraging or suppressing academic procrastination among students. This
research is expected to serve as input for educational institutions and internship
organizers to better address the balance of student roles during their transition to
the professional world.
